Here’s hoping that everyone had a happy and safe New Year’s Eve. This is the time for reviewing the past year and planning the next.
As a writer, 2012 was one of my best years yet. First, a contract with Paizo for a pirate novel set in their fantastic world of Golarion. Then Scimitar’s Heir won the gold medal for Science Fiction/Fantasy in the ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Awards 2011, making that three gold medals in a row for the Scimitar Seas series. The fourth and final Scimitar Seas novel, Scimitar War, debuted in August. Next, the Cheese Runners Trilogy was released on Kindle. And now, Kindle sales for Weapon of Fleshhave skyrocketed, sending us out of 2012 with a blast.
Exciting things are already underway for 2013. Paizo will release Pirate’s Honor this spring, and I’ll be attending Paizo Con to do signings. As always, we’ll also be attending Gen Con and Dragon*Con, and I’ll be a guest at Con Carolinas. Due to the great sales, as well as repeated requests by fans, I’ve started writing the sequel to Weapon of Flesh—Weapon of Blood. I also have several other projects in the works. Check out my Blog and the Events page for progress reports and my upcoming appearances schedule.
I wish everyone a happy, healthy and productive new year!
